Men's Ministry
The men’s ministry at Life Christian Church is focused on getting men together to build friendships, and to strengthen each other and encourage each other. Statistically, 50% of men in the United States say they don’t have one good friend. Many men these days just don’t have any anyone to talk to, hang out with, be accountable to, and count on. It’s our goal to change that.
As men we all have common battles: in the work place, marriage, home, our past, etc. Our goal is to get guys together to help each other through these battles and to encourage each other to stay the course and fight the good fight.
Purpose
Our purpose is to help each other grow in our knowledge and love for Christ by connecting the dots between the bible and our everyday lives--including our struggles.
Our guiding scripture is Proverbs 27:17 (imagine)
As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.
Our vision is simple, that every man will have his own walk with God.
Wednesday Night Meeting
Every Wednesday the Lobby becomes the Men’s Lodge. We start out the night with a quick message from a man’s point of view. It could be a topic like Anger, temptation, prayer, etc. or it could be a series on Financial Lessons from proverbs. We then break out into small groups where we can discuss the topic as well as other things. It’s a great way to build fellowship, encouragement, learn from each other, and have some fun as well.
Special Events
You may have heard of the Cage Fight we had in 2009 (yes that was us) it was a great event and was done in a Godly way. This is an example of one of our special events. We do occasional weekend breakfast, trips to Promise Keepers, hunting and fishing, bocce ball, and other events.
